Locating a site

This page lets you locate the site of interest by a number of methods.

Browsing a Map

You can simply browse a map to locate the site. Click on the map button to be taken to a map of the state then click to activate the map and click and drag the cursor to specify an area to zoom to.

Property Search

Alternatively, you may want to locate a particular property as your site.

If you know a property ID, you can enter it to find a property.

If you know the address of a property, you can enter address details to find a property. You can use wildcards in the street name, street type and locality parameters. If you leave the street type or locality blank, a wildcard character will automatically be used for that search criterion. Note you must supply a minimum of 2 characters and a wildcard for the street name.

A blank street number is a valid address in some cases, so a search with a blank street number will only return addresses with a blank street number, i.e. it will not be treated as an automatic wildcard.

You can also start your search from a familiar point on a map using eastings and northings (e.g. E:524393, N:5255125)

Wildcards

Single and multiple character wildcard searches are supported.

To perform a single character wildcard search use the "?" symbol. The single character wildcard search looks for terms that match the single character replaced. For example, to search for Smith, Smoth and Smath, you can use the search: sm?th.

To perform a multiple character wildcard search use the "*" symbol. The multiple character wildcard search looks for zero or more characters. For example, to search for small, smith, or smile you can use the search sm*.
